DINP is a nearly colorless, clear and practically anhydrous oily liquid. It is soluble in the usual organic solvents like ethyl alcohol, acetone and toluene, and is almost insoluble in water.
DINP is miscible and compatible with all of the monomeric plasticizers commonly used in PVC, so it can be used mixed with the monomeric plasticizers in PVC formulation. It has an almost unlimited shelf life when properly stored in closed containers.
